What is Twigs?

Twigs is an after school program geared toward children in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. We will meet following school on Mondays from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm. During that time you can expect your children to learn how to use their Bibles, learn memory verses, listen to a Bible story and learn its application in their own lives, and participate in an age appropriate worship service.

After 5:00 pm, after you have picked up your child, we invite you to eat with your family at our Monday evening Community Meals (Bread of Life). The meals are free and everyone is welcome.

If this sounds like something you would like for your children, please fill out the online registration form below. If your child is finished with 5th grade but would still like to be a part of our Twigs program as a helper, we would love to have the help. Please use the same form to register your older child.

We will follow the school calendar for Bandera ISD for our scheduling, meaning that if Bandera ISD has school scheduled, we will have Twigs. If Bandera ISD has a holiday scheduled, we will also have a holiday from Twigs.

If your child(ren) are finished with 5th grade but would still like to be a part of Twigs, we would love to have them as helpers. Please let us know if you are registering a helper or a student.

Media Release

I give permission for Lakehills United Methodist Church, the Hill Country District, and the Rio Texas Annual conference of the United Methodist Church to use photographs of my child(ren) for advertising and promotional purposes. I understand that I will not be compensated for these pictures.

Transportation

The Twigs team can transport your child(ren) back to Hill Country Elementary to the Boys & Girls Club after 5 pm, if you would like to pick up your child(ren) from there instead from the church. Would you like for the LUMC Twigs team to transport your child(ren) to Hill Country Elementary at the conclusion of the Twigs program?
